Oh Sheila

Well, when I started to read the Copps Article, I thought it would be another scathing Sheila Copps attacks on dirty laundry the Liberals didn't want to have aired. But I found it to actually be a decent read.

The main thing is that last time, Martin was stuck behind a massively popular Chretien, and even if his bickering cost us a bit of support, we could afford it, because we were still comfortably in a majority. But now, we can't afford to not have everyone on board. And as much as people may not exactly like Dion, I think nearly all us would agree that we like him more than Harper. And Dion looks much better standing tall at the head than with 20 people with knives following him around.

To all the Liberal masses out there...The ONLY reason Chretien had majorities is because of ONE thing...The Conservative votes were split between the PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVES and the REFORM/Alliance parties....so don't kid yourselves....WE Conservatives are on the move....Watch OUR big BLUE MACHINE MOW YOU DOWN...It's a beautiful thing to behold

I suggest you watch Ken Rockburn on CPAC tonight (Sun Sept 23) at 7 ET - 5 PT - he's interviewing the very smart, respected and credible author Michael Byers about his new book - this guy is Harper's nemisis - he tells it like it is.

With the above, and Flanigan pretty much telling Canadians that we've been duped by Harper - you'd think people would pay attention.

Now, why on earth would people like the CPC supporters even think about supporting Harper when he's actually mislead us on who he really is? They certainly must be dumb or don't care that they are being mislead and duped.

The most estute part of the article is that if the Ignatieff camp tries to defeat Dion their candidate won`t win, Ignatieff or someone else Mr. Smith chooses. The DIon camp will go to someone else and it wont be a big secret who orchestrated another crisis in the Party. They should stop right now because they lose either way, even if their guy wins next time, which he won`t the party will be eviscerated and their wont wont get closer to the PMO than stonaway if they are lucky.

It`s a DOA scenario, any way its looked at. They need to stop this garbage or the Liberals can`t win.

I agree. Ms. Copps wrote an insightful piece today. From someone who was there and clearly payed a price for which there was no greater good achieved, Ms. Copps and her advice should be well received.
